Apple Cider Caramel


Prep: 5min | Cook: ~45min

  1. Add a half gallon of apple cider to a pot and bring it to a boil.

  2. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer until the cider is reduced to a thick molasses consistency.

  3. Lower the heat further and add half a cup of butter in small cubes, stirring slowly.

  4. Once the butter is melted, add half a cup of room temperature heavy cream slowly while whisking.

  5. Increase the heat to medium low and whisk until the mixture is creamy.

  6. Pour the mixture into a jar and refrigerate.

 
  • 1/2 gallon apple cider

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
